Flying Background:
I have been passionate about aviation as long as I can remember. I started out with radio controlled model aircraft and it was only a matter of time before I had to make the step and commit to the real thing. I did all my training part-time without sponsorship (and continue to do so) while working full-time.

I started my flight training with Central Flying Academy at Grand Central airport in 2002 where I obtained my Private Pilot License followed by Night rating and later safety pilot rating.

Flying is a learning environment and the more you learn the more you realise you don’t know it all about this fascinating love of ours; flying. I continued this pursuit in flying safety and subsequently obtained my CPL (IF) in 2009, migrated to multi-engine aircraft and most recently obtained my test pilot rating.

I hold the safety officer role at a local charter company at Grand Central call Echo Skies and also do some freelance charter flying there.

I love to fly with a purpose and when I don’t fly for my business I participate in Navigation Rallies and the annual President’s Trophy Air Race (for 10 consecutive years to date).

My involvement and interest in the Children’s Flight:
I honestly believe that one has to pay it forward. Flying is a passion to all us pilots and what better gift than to share that passion! The Children’s Flight is an ideal platform in a well-organised way making it possible for those who would not otherwise be able to attend not be offered the opportunity to go flying in an enjoyable and safe environment.

My Motto:
Carpe Diem (Seize the day)
