Pilot Gregory Clegg

At this stage of my life, I am working as a mechanical engineer. I studied mechanical engineering at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth. I am busy finishing my diploma off through UNISA.

I started flying in 2011, during my first year of university. I was doing my training part time between university and working shifts on weekends and holidays. I was working as a waiter which managed to pay for my license.

My ultimate goal is to fly for a living. I am slowly working on my commercial pilots license while completing my diploma and then degree in Mechanical Engineering.

I have around 330 hours – Most of which has been in our Jodel.

I decided to volunteer because this is a fantastic initiative and I hope that I can help in making a difference on the day
